Last year at a workshop I attended lead by Cheryl Richardson, we were instructed to write down our four top values. Yes, ONLY four. She quickly read over a hundred and fifty words and then stopped…I knew she had definitely forgotten something. I had to raise my hand. I said, “ You forgot love…” Laughing, she said it had been in the inside corner of the list and overlooked, then added, “you know that’s one of your values, don’t you?”
Yes, of course I knew... LOVE. For me, it was a given.
I felt constrained by the choice of four but quickly chose:
INTEGRITY, TRANSFORMATION, COMMUNITY and of course, the unforgettable LOVE. I realized at that very moment, a-Spiritual AHA! if you will, that all of my work had truly been informed by my most deeply felt values!
I believe from the core of my most passionate and loving spirit that each of us has the power to transform ourselves, our lives and indeed, the world. This powerful belief carries me forward and has helped me create ways in which to walk with love and create community where we can transform with integrity. I join with clients and students to renew their sense of passion, hope and assist them in re-membering their vision. Most of us remember our soul-voice no matter how deeply its been hidden by limiting beliefs, paperwork, emails, stress or time…my work is to partner with you to create time and space to uncover, listen, re-connect and shine in your most amazing heartfelt expression. Some of us have been afraid to listen to our deep stirrings and soulful longings…
In my work with you, we will:

* learn and use practical tools that help connect you to your body, mind and spirit in easy and effortless ways
* manifest and express your truest self and create a more peaceful and joyful life.
My deepest wish is for each man, woman and child to connect to and exist from their true divine and soulful heritage and shine forth in all its joy! As a guide and transformation facilitator, I walk my talk and seek to support each client on their own individual journey of healing and wholeness. I know that I am living my true vocation every time I witness a client or student step forward owning all of their human vulnerability, tapping into their deep courage and shining in their power and deep knowing.

About Vanessa
Passionately soul-driven into a career path that ranges from corporate events, film/television/ theatre, freelance writing, promotions to performance, healing and ceremony, Vanessa has always sought to explore, inform and inspire.
As a third generation intuitive, Vanessa has developed her psychic and spiritual abilities from childhood. Working with her guides and various spiritual technologies she seeks to get to the heart of the matter and assist in an authentic and life-affirming healing and development process for her clients.
This urban priestess, writer and healer is one of New York’s best kept secrets. As co-creator/co-facilitator of SOL Women’s Healing Circle since 1999, Vanessa has worked to create safe space where women can meet, share stories, explore alternative forms of worship and spiritual expression as well as assist each other on their journey. Steeped in her Latin American heritage, she has studied her own metaphysical/spiritual traditions as well as Celtic, Indigenous, African and world religions.
From 2008-2010, Vanessa has combined art, healing and awareness as a performer and director for Eve Ensler’s VDAY movement in NYC. Vanessa is currently pursuing a M.S/Phd in Holistic Theology with The American Institute of Holistic Theology. She is currently a board member of REVEAL: The Next Generation of Feminine Spirituality.
She has created MuzeWorks to further assist women and men on their journey of spiritual and earthly empowerment. With almost 20 years experience as an intuitive, Vanessa “ tells it like it is” with humor, optimism and a call to passionate involvement in the creation of our most precious work: Life!
My experience
Over the last 20 years I have studied and practiced breathwork, meditation, intuition, core energetics, chakra balancing, color therapy, Brennan Hands of Light techniques, magnified healing, reiki, aromatherapy, women’s spirituality, the Artists way, Afro-Caribbean religions, middle eastern dance, meditation, hypnosis, astrology, acting, directing, numerology, past life regression, divination modalities, world religions, leadership development, empowerment techniques, native American spirituality & shamanism, public speaking and time management techniques as well as spiritual coaching classes and mentorship.
I received my B.A. in Media Studies and Latin American Studies at Hunter College and am pursuing a master’s program at the American Institute for Holistic Theology. I am a Certified Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist through training with Dr. Barry Seedman, the Hypnosis Institute and the International Network for Alternative & Intuitive Therapies, Reiki level III, magnified healing and essential energy balancing teacher. I co-facilitated “Gatherings” a year long circle in the 90s and created and co-facilitate SOL circle since 1999. This women’s healing and empowerment group is bilingual, diverse, inclusive and continues to thrive!
I have presented various inspiring workshops in New York and Miami, including REVEAL Conference at the Union Theological Seminary, Daughters of the Earth in Mass., Womongathering as well as various locations throughout Queens and Manhattan.
